To celebrate 4 amazing years in business, we are hosting a FREE community fitness event on Saturday, 27th June at the Marina Market, and everyone is invited! 💪🔥
Whether you’re a current member, past member, or completely new to BASE Fitness or have never met us before, this event is for YOU. From 9:00am–10:30am, our goal is simple: get as many people in Cork City moving, smiling, and feeling good together.
This workout will be suitable for ALL fitness levels and abilities, so don’t worry if you’re a beginner or haven’t trained in a while, just come along, get involved, and enjoy the atmosphere! 🙌
We’ll also be collaborating with some amazing local vendors on the day, with treats, surprises, discounts, and lots more throughout the morning. 🍓☕🎁
More than anything, this event is about community. We want to create a morning full of energy, belly laughs, encouragement, and positivity, a chance for people to step outside their comfort zone, socialise with like minded people, move their bodies, and feel part of something special. ❤️

Irish Chili Festival

Get ready for something new and exciting—the inaugural Irish Chili Festival is coming to Marina Market Cork on June 27-28, 2026. This brand-new, free, family-friendly event will bring Ireland’s first dedicated chili festival to life, celebrating all things spicy over a full weekend of flavor and fun.
Visitors can explore a diverse marketplace featuring international hot sauces from across Europe and beyond, fresh chilis and plants, and sample products from specialty vendors. The festival caters to all dietary preferences with BBQ, food trucks, and plenty of vegan and vegetarian options available throughout the weekend.
Families will appreciate the dedicated kids’ play area, and well-behaved dogs are welcome to join the festivities.
A highlight of the weekend is the Irish Amateur Chili Eating Competition, hosted by the renowned Clifton Chili Club—featured on Netflix’s “We Are the Champions” and boasting over 300 million YouTube views. The competition is open to everyone, offering prizes, giveaways, and serious bragging rights for those brave enough to compete.

Fermoy Concert Band is really looking forward to their visit to Cork's Marina Market, the best place to be for a bewildering choice of foods - and more!
One of Cork's oldest bands, they are also one of the best - playing at parades, matches, and concerts in Cork county for decades.
The band plays a big mashup of genres - classical, pop, rock, jazz, film scores, and traditional Irish, but as it's their first visit to the Marina Market, they will no doubt try to include musical references to food, and to Cork city itself; and prizes may be awarded to astute listeners who identify those references!
This great quality band prides itself above all on entertainment through great music, so bring all the family along for a fun afternoon!

Musicians, bands, communities and schools across Cork are being asked to ‘Make Some Noise’ to help end homelessness on Friday 1 May, as Focus Ireland launches its new nationwide fundraising and awareness campaign in partnership with Cork’s Red FM.
The initiative will see musicians, singers, DJs, choirs and community groups organise performances or join live events across the county and country to raise awareness and funds to help end homelessness for good.
'Make Some Noise' is proudly supported in Cork’s Red FM who will amplify activities as communities come together across the region to host gigs, concerts and events and stage their own noise moments to raise funds and awareness of the work being done by Focus Ireland.
